Medium Cast Constructed Serving Bowl

$160.00

This bowl is constructed from several larger cast pieces.  One cast in yellow, the other in green porcelain.  These pieces are then cut apart, recombined and added to other cast parts to create several unique bowls.  This particular bowl has a yellow clay upper piece and a green clay bottom.  That green clay bottom was textured then set in the ring that forms the sides of the bowl. It was then covered in a black slip that was scraped back in a Mishima like technique.  This technique reveals texture and pattern, further accentuating the discrete elements that come together to become this singular bowl.  While it has siblings, it is unlike any other bowl created through this process.

This bowl is utilitarian, even if the user decides that its utility is as a decorative object.  If you do decide to use it, and I hope you do, it can put in the dishwasher, but I would recommend hand washing it.
