Winter Classes - 2026

KIDS CLAY - 5th to 8th Grade - January 6th - March 24th

Tuesday Afternoons, 3:15pm - 5:00pm

First time students will learn the basics of making objects out of clay, and will learn how glazes and other surface treatments work to turn mud to stone, and into beautiful works of art. Returning students are welcome, and will have a more self directed experience. Everyone will leave this class with several finished functional, and/or sculptural objects, and have an opportunity to work on the wheel. This class is limited to five students. $325

Adult Day Class - Beginner to Advanced - January 6th - March 24th

For new students this class will serve as an introduction to clay, the hand-building process and the studio.It will serve as a pre-requisite and foundational course for anyone interested in taking any other class at Green House Pottery. For returning students this is a self directed class, and participants can throw or hand-build if they would like. This class is limited to five students. $350

Hand-building for Adults - Beginner to Advanced - January 6th - March 24th

For new students this class will serve as an introduction to clay, the hand building process and the studio. Over the course of 10 weeks, we will explore the basics of hand-building and will work with tools, stamps, underglazes and glazes to create interesting and beautiful forms. This class is limited to five students, and is a pre-requisite and foundational course for anyone interested in taking any other class at Green House Pottery. Returning hand builders will have the opportunity to expand on their skills and ideas. $350

WHEEL THROWING FOR ADULTS - 7th - March 25th

This class is open to anyone who has already taken the hand-building class here at Green House. Over the course of 10 weeks, first time students will explore the wheel and focus on the basics of wheel throwing, focusing on cups, mugs and bowls to start, and will experiment with trimming and additions like handles. Returning students will build on prior experiences and explore forms of their choosing. This class is limited to five students. $375
