The mug features the main branch of the NY public library along with the iconic lions, Patience and Fortitude. Situated in Bryant Park, the library attracts all types, and there are a few colorful characters captured in this image. 4.5" tall x 3" diameter
The City Mug series were part of a body of work that I sold on the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn as souvenirs. As objects I wanted them to speak of the city that they depicted, and be more than just some knick-knack that a tourist picked up on the street in the Big Apple. Now, several years later this mug represents part of a limited series.
